[IMPACT OF REMOTE MINIMAL INFLAMMATION ON THE VASCULAR SYSTEM AS ASSOCIATED WITH CHRONIC HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE].
Inhibition of inflammatory cells is the primary treatment for high blood pressure (BP). We hypothesized that chronic elevation of BP leads to vascular dysfunction via inhibition of inflammatory cells. To test our hypothesis, we prepared spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) as a model of chronic hypertension and investigated the vascular effect of inflammation with an adenoviral vector-mediated overexpression of an anti-inflammatory cytokine (interleukin-10 [IL-10]), delivery of which inhibits the function of macrophages and dendritic cells. We observed the following in male SHR aged 12 weeks: (1) the overexpression of IL-10 significantly inhibited the development of hypertension and vascular hypertrophy, but not atherosclerosis; (2) immunohistochemical examination demonstrated that macrophage and dendritic cell infiltration was decreased by the overexpression of IL-10; (3) IL-10 directly inhibited the phosphorylation of endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) and phospholipase Cγ (PLCγ); (4) and the binding of IL-10 to IL-10 receptor was increased in the aorta. We conclude that chronic elevation of BP causes vascular dysfunction via inhibition of inflammatory cells. Inhibition of inflammatory cells might be a primary treatment for the vascular complications associated with chronic hypertension.In medical image formation, it is common to combine an X-ray transmission imaging device with an X-ray fluoroscopic imaging device.
